On Saturday, August 16, 2008, Stephanie Nielson was in a plane crash with her husband, Christian Nielson, and his flight instructor, Doug Kinneard, near St. Johns, Arizona. Doug Kinneard passed away soon after arriving at the Maricopa County Hospital.

Christian & Stephanie remain in critical condition at Maricopa Burn Center. Christian has sustained burns on over 30% of his body. His wife Stephanie’s body was burned over 80%.

I met Stephanie through the blog world, and introduced my sister to her. It is truely amazing how Stephanie is allowing so many people to meet and contact eachother on her behalf, total strangers meeting and talking and feeling connected because of her and who she is. Thanks to Wendy at bluelilyphotography,who we just met for the first time, is sending us these beautiful photos for the lamp.

My sister and I are super excited about this auction and are so happy we can help Stephanie and her family in some small way. She loves handmade products, she loves photography and she loves light!!!

I love photography and light…it seems you can’t create a masterpiece without the element of both working together to capture the artist’s eye/vision in the original photograph.

I have taken images that speak to me and or others, transforming them, almost to look life like, onto a light form that yields a soft yet captivating image. The greatest works of art are no longer confined to a wall, but can be transformed onto a canvas of true light that will bring life to any room.

Material is made of frosted glass; image is printed using UV ink onto the most weather withstanding, heat resistant, UV protected, vinyl transparent paper."

DTUT klosette will be hosting the Foto Lamp Auction for Nie Recovery December 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th and ending on Stephanie and Christian's 8 year anniversary December 16th!

The highest bidder will be given One Large Foto Lamp of Mr. and Mrs. Nielsen & their adorable Family
