One of my friends Summer Thacker is David Archuletta's Fashion Coordinator. She is also helping with American Idol. Her and her husband and 2 beautiful girls live in California and wherever she goes she runs into Hollywood stars. She went to the American Idol Concert last year so many times, was on TV and because of that hooked up with David Archuletta and a super cool side job.

Here is what she wrote about him, and I would have to agree he is a super cool kid with an amazing voice!

Can't say enough good

Above are some of the pictures from what I have been busy with the past few months. This may be a bore for some to read but I want to have some of these things on my records/ personal journal to remember. This has been one of the best experiences of my life. I have learned so much and met so many amazing people. With David's birthday this month (he will be 18!) I thought it would be fun to share 18 interesting facts about him...

1. He is not as shy as you would think
2. He hates seafood
3. He sings when he is talking to you
4. He is genuine and real
5. His dad is a talented jazz musican and SUPER nice BTW
6. He loves sprinkles cupcakes
7. He is still very close with Brooke White and Jason Castro
8. He was born in Florida
9. His favorite shoe brand is Creative Recreation
10. His favorite food is Thai food
11. He goes to bed late
12. He doesn't eat dairy (for his voice)
13. He is obsessed with John Mayer and Jason Mraz
14. He has the highest standards and values of anyone I have ever met
15. He likes short, brunette girls
16. He adores his family
17. He is a grazer (eats lots of little things through out the day)
18. Only likes room temperature water

* Really, I have been so impressed with him as I have gotten to know him the past 6 months. With his album release and lots of appearances last month, we have sure seen a lot of each other. Each time... he surprises me more with his sincerity for everyone he comes in contact with. There is not a mean bone in his body.

I think four of my favorite stories are:

~ Filming "Icarly" on Nickelodeon he had a line where he was supposed to say "I hate her". He didn't feel comfortable saying that word (yeah- can you believe it?) so he asked the director if he could word it differently or just give a look that would express he was not fond of her. I love that he stands up for what he wants.

~ During his new music video shoot, he didn't want any of the girls to be in immodest clothing. He preferred to not have tank tops on the extras and on the lead girl. He said he doesn't want his image to come off wrong. He wants to be clean and tasteful. In the hollywood world... that is AMAZING! I think he is making an impact on more and more people each day!

~ In November he had only one and a half days off to be in UT with his family. What did he do in that time? He did his Eagle project for scouting! What a kid!

~ We were lost while driving in the car with Gary and his dad one time. I rolled down my window to get directions from someone and after they had told me the right way to go, I forgot to say "Thank you" (my bad). David was in the back seat and shouted as loud as he could so the person could hear "Thank you"! He is ALWAYS so polite. He taught me my lesson.

Anyone who hasn't heard his CD should. It really is GREAT! It's a feel good that the whole family can listen to. And his voice is near perfect! It would make a great Christmas gift. Speaking of, he will have a Christmas CD out next year... can't wait!
